On September the 5th the World Charity Day is celebrated. This World Day was declared by the United Nation in 2012 and is dedicated to the promotion of dialogue, solidarity and mutual assistance among people.
The aim of the World Charity Day is to raise awareness on the importance of the solidarity in the whole planet and of all players involved: people, volunteering organizations, non-governmental organizations and no profit associations.
The 5th of September was chosen to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who received the Peace Nobel Prize for the “work undertaken in the struggle to overcome poverty and distress, which also constitutes a threat to peace”.
Magneti Marelli recognizes the importance of solidarity and supports the activities of the humanitarian organizations and volunteering organizations, as pillar of the corporate Sustainability Program.
