At the end of November 2011, the Bursa Mako plant of the Automotive Lighting Business line obtained the HPR (Highly Protected Risk) certification following an industrial risk prevention audit conducted by the Risk Engineering Department of AXA Corporate Solutions. In 2005, the Plant launched a loss prevention programme that, in recent years, has led to both a significant cultural shift through staff training and awareness campaigns, and a gradual and constant improvement of site safety levels, bringing it into full alignment with the strictest international prevention and safety standards. This much sought-after certification places the Plant among the prevention best practices acknowledged by the international insurance market, and it is especially significant given the importance of the Plant within the Group’s manufacturing chain. However, this does not represent the finish line for the Plant, but rather the beginning of a new and challenging journey that requires an annual confirmation of the highest prevention level and commits the plant to the proper management of future initiatives and projects which will have to be automatically developed in line with the Group’s prevention standards.
