Volkswagen to launch a car sharing service in Rwanda
Volkswagen has long been very focused on the gradual development of the African auto industry.
A further step in the consolidation of the carmaker on the continent is the launch of "Volkswagen Mobility Solutions Rwanda", a modern car sharing service that will start in the African country from next spring.
The operation will start from the capital Kigali with around 150 vehicles of the Group available to be produced in a factory in Kigali, in particular the Polo and the Passat at the rate of about 5,000 units a year.
Volkswagen is also active in Africa in the markets of South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya.
