Magneti Marelli Motorsport working side by side with major international teams with solutions aimed at the transfer of technology from racetrack cars to road cars
After the fourth Formula 1 Grand Prix race in Shanghai, all motorsport championships are now underway, and Magneti Marelli once again confirms its widespread presence in international two and four-wheel competitions with technologies and innovations.
Proposing new ideas and technological solutions, contributing to the evolution of existing technologies or suggesting different and alternative uses for these, through the aggregation function of the social network: Magneti Marelli Motorsport, the Magneti Marelli division dedicated to competitions, is launching an online collaborative platform for the generation of ideas called Magneti Marelli LapTime Club (www.laptimeclub.com, animated demo in the homepage).
The shareholding proportion will be 60% for DTR and 40% for Magneti Marelli
DTR Corporation and Magneti Marelli S.p.A. have signed an agreement for the establishment of a Joint Venture aimed at the acquisition of CF Gomma, an Italian based automotive supplier active in the field of rubber products.
In particular, CF Gomma produces anti-vibration rubber products for vehicle and engine suspensions, air springs for the haulage and railways industries as well as rubber technical mouldings and compounds.
Magneti Marelli Automotive Lighting’s “E-Light” LED low-beam module allows simultaneous savings in energy and fuel consumption, with superior lighting performance to the benefit of motorists.
E-Light uses about 1/6 of the energy of a traditional halogen light bulb.
This solution guarantees those carmakers that fit the E-Light a bonus of 1 g CO2/km per vehicle, allowing considerable potential savings on the strict sanctions set for automobile manufacturers by European regulations on vehicle emissions.
