The VW South American offensive will focus mainly on SUVs
The announced South American offensive of Volkswagen, which will lead to the local launch of twenty new or renewed models by 2020, will focus mainly on SUVs (there will be five).
We will start shortly with the five and seven-seat Tiguan Allspace that will be distributed in Brazil and Argentina imported from Mexico where it is produced at the Puebla factory.
The second new model will be the T-Cross, assembled at the Brazilian plant in São José dos Pinhais and based on the Virtus platform, a local variant of Polo.
There are still no certainties about the other three SUVs, but one will certainly be produced at the Argentine plant in Zarate, near Buenos Aires.
