Volvo plans to expand export in the Asean of the made in Malesia models
Volvo aims to strengthen export operations to the Asean markets of Malaysia-based models. Main destinations will be Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam, but later the Volvo made in Malaysia models will also debut in Cambodia and Laos.
Currently, exports already involve the markets of Thailand and Taiwan, and the goal of the Malaysian Volvo Division is to export about 5,000 cars a year compared to 1,800 today.
Volvo Cars Malaysia has just started sales of the S90 T8 plug-in variant produced locally at the Shah Alam factory.
