The Vietnamese Vinfast to debut in Paris
Vinfast, the first Vietnamese car brand, debuted with its first two models in Paris: the LUX A2.0 sedan and the LUX SA2.0 SUV, created in collaboration with the Italian Pininfarina.
The cars, on sale from 2019, just two years after the birth of the brand, share the 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine combined with the 8-speed automatic transmission and will be available in the rear-wheel drive version for the sedan version, declined on two power levels 175 hp and 300 Nm of torque or 227 hp and 350 Nm, and rear-wheel drive or AWD for the SUV, available in the 227 hp version only.
The partnership between Vinfast and Pininfarina goes beyond the development of the design of the two models. Being a new company, which is developing its first range of vehicles worldwide, Vinfast turned to Pininfarina to define the entire brand identity and to develop a specific design language that can be found in all future models.
The first results produced the exclusive V logo on the grid of the two cars on display, which refers to Vietnam, as well as the Vingroup and Vinfast brands, and the exterior and interior design of the cars.
Pininfarina has also designed the Vinfast stand at the Paris Motor Show and will guide the manufacturer towards the launch phase on the market, designing the Vinfast dealerships.
