Venezuela in recession? Toyota launches the new Corolla
Toyota is still among the few car manufacturers to believe in the future of the Venezuelan automotive industry, heavily penalized by the severe recession in which the South American country has collapsed.
The Japanese carmaker has in fact launched in the Venezuelan market the new Corolla that will be assembled directly on site at the rate of about twenty units a month.
If Venezuela's economic conditions would improve, Toyota aims to significantly increase the world's best-selling model production in the coming year.
