Toyota produced more than 4 million units in Burnaston
Toyota celebrates the 25th anniversary of the opening of its British factory in Burnaston from where more than 4 million units have already been released.
The first car assembled at the plant, it was December 16, 1992, was a Carina E, while today the plant builds Auris and Avensis.
In the entire United Kingdom, the Japanese company employs around 2,500 people including those working at the Welsh engine factory in Deeside.
Since opening, Toyota has invested over 2.5 billion pounds in the Burnaston factory.
