Toyota has already doubled its production in Russia
Toyota has already more than doubled the pace of production at its Russian factory in St. Petersburg.
The Japanese carmaker, at the end of the first eight months, has assembled 44,493 cars compared to 21,476 in the same period last year.
In detail, 21,476 units of the Camry and 23,017 of Rav4 SUV were produced.
The export performance in the neighboring markets of Belarus and Kazakhstan is also good that with 3,876 units is already exceeding the full 2016 budget.
At sales level, Toyota's bestseller model in Russia remains the Rav4 with a 3% increase to 21,466 units.
