The Toro Rosso drivers choose the Honda Civic Type R
The drivers of Toro Rosso F1 team with Honda's engine, Pierre Gasly and Brandon Hartley, chose the Honda Civic Type R as a road car.
This is the 2017 version produced at the British Honda factory in Swindon, baptized as the race car for the road.
The car holds the record for the world's fastest front-wheel drive car on the old Nürburgring track with a lap time of 7 minutes, 43 seconds and 8 tenths.
The Civic Type R features a 2-liter Vtec Turbo engine with 320 hp and 400 Nm of torque, which allows a maximum speed of 272 km/h and to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.
