Tesla hits Model 3 target of 5.000 units assembled a week
President Elon Musk sent an email to the work force (intercepted by Bloomberg News) to announce with pomp that Tesla finally satisfied the target of producing 5,000 units a week of its Model 3 at the Californian plant in Fremont.
"We have become a real car company", Musk's words. The goal had been anticipated for some time and was reached after some postponements.
It was the perfect opportunity for Musk to celebrate his 47th birthday with factory employees.
Starting from July, the Model 3 production target will be expanded to 6,000 units per week.
