Suzuki targets to sell 5 million vehicles in India in 2030
On the occasion of the shareholders' meeting held in Tokyo, the carmaler's CEO, Osamu Suzuki, reiterated that Suzuki intends to increase its sales volumes in India to about 5 million vehicles by 2030, obviously taking advantage of the consolidated joint venture with the local Maruti.
Suzuki's growth strategy will go hand in hand with that of the entire Indian market, which will exceed 10 million units in 2030. In this context, Maruti Suzuki will continue to hold about 50% stake in the sector.
To accompany the planned offensive in Indian registrations, Suzuki will double the number of models to be distributed in the country (it will reach thirty) and will significantly increase the distribution network.
