Seat in Martorell with one of the largest photovoltaic plant
Seat celebrates the start of the summer solstice by recalling that one of the largest photovoltaic systems in the automotive industry in the world is located at its Martorell headquarters.
In 2013, the Spanish company inaugurated a total of six photovoltaic plants with over 53 thousand solar panels.
The structure is located on the roof of the workshops and in the parking area of the vehicles leaving the production lines and has already generated more than 112 million kWh since it was put into operation.
The result is a reduction in CO2 emissions of almost 4,000 tons a year. The Seat objective is to cut water consumption, CO2 emissions and waste in general by 50% by 2025 compared to 2010.
