Coscharis is to start assembling Renault's Logan and Duster brands in Nigeria, as well as distribute them from October this year.

Logans and Dusters will be assembled in the existing Coscharis Assembly facility in Lagos, while Renault's Kwid and Oroch vehicles will be imported from Brazil.

The four cars will be distributed through the Coscharis Motors sales network throughout Nigeria.

«With a population of over 200m, Nigeria is a strategic African country where Groupe Renault will extend its footprint» said Renault Africa, Middle-East India Pacific SVP and chairman, Fabrice Cambolive.

Coscharis Group, established in 1977, is a Nigerian conglomerate with interests in various sectors, which include automobiles, information and communications technology, logistics, agriculture, food and beverages, property and health.

The Group has branches across Nigeria and in three West African countries. It presently has automobile sales and service dealerships in Nigeria with five dealers in Lagos.
