Peugeot to start production in Nigeria in the first quarter 2019
The PSA Group has announced that starting from the first quarter of 2019 Peugeot will start production in Nigeria through a joint venture that includes Dangote Group and five other state companies.
The joint venture (of which PSA will hold a 10% stake) will be called Peugeot Automobile Nigeria Limited and will be operational in the Kaduna factory at the initial rate of 3,500 assembled vehicles, destined to grow to about 10 thousand units a year.
The first model to be assembled at the assembly lines of the Nigerian plant will be the Peugeot 301 which will be produced with components from Spain. Thereafter it will be ther turn also of 308 and 508.
