Nissan: 10 billion dollars for the "green" offensive in China
Nissan has announced that in the next five years it will invest about 10 billion dollars to launch a real product offensive in China, in a joint venture with the local partner Dongfeng.
The launch of about forty new or renewed models is planned, half of which will be electrified.
The strategy will start with the debut of the second generation of the Leaf electric and will be articulated already this year on two other zero emission cars.
The new EV model for the Chinese market will be distributed under the aegis of the Nissan brands, Dongfeng, Infiniti and the Venucia low-cost brand.
Nissan Dongfeng's goal is to increase sales volumes in China to 2.6 million vehicles by 2020.
