New Hyundai i30 Fastback: first 5-door coupé 5 between compact models
After the five doors, the wagon and the N (first high performance car of the carmaker) Hyundai completes the i30 family with the Fastback that will debut in Italy in January 2018.
This is the first five-door coupé in the compact segment, with slim and sporty lines with the Cascading Grille in a lowered position.
Unleash the air intakes and the Led daytime running lights while the roof is 25 mm lower than the i30. 4,455 meters long (115 mm more than the five door version), the i30 Fastback features a 5 mm lower springs and a stiffness increase of 15 per cent to enhance driving pleasure and sports.
The standard equipments are at the top of the category with Autonomous Emergency Brake, Driver Attention Alert, automatic dazzle dimming system and lane maintenance system.
Intelligent and connected, the new i30 Fastback will initially be available with the 1.4 T-GDI with 140-hp (six-speed manual or automatic dual-clutch transmission) and 1.0 T-GDI 3-cylinder with 120 hp, mated with a manual transmission.
The engine range will then be expanded with a new 4-cylinder 1.6 turbo diesel with respectively the power of 110 and 136 hp.
With the new generation of the i30, now almost complete, Hyundai aims to confirm if not to improve the excellent results of the previous two series: nearly 800,000 units sold in Europe since 2008.
