Mitsubishi starts major renovation for R&D center in Okazaki
Mitsubishi has begun work on the modernization of its Japanese Okazaki research and development center, Aichi Prefecture, thanks to a 33 billion yen investment.
Particularly involved the main building within the facility, eco-sustainability tests (with simulation of the most extreme cold and warm conditions) and a renewal of the wind tunnel, especially in term of aerodynamics.
Jobs for the first two projects will be completed by the fall of next year, the wind tunnel will be ready for the beginning of 2020.
Mitsubishi believes that the new Okazaki research and development center is a core project for the development of the next generation of models.
