Mitsubishi to start production of the Outlander also in Vietnam
Operating for 23 years in the emerging market of Southeast Asia, Mitsubishi has started the production of the Outlander also in Vietnam, obviating the problems of excessive taxes for the previous import operations from Japan.
The Japanese SUV has been distributed in the country since 2016 through the new local distributor Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam and its main challenger is the Honda CR-V.
Outlander is assembled at the factory in Binh Duong province along the same lines as the Pajero, waiting for the new Xpander to be included in the production offer. Mitsubishi has a 9% share in the Vietnamese market.
