Mercedes to enrich its SUV offer, especially compact
Last year Mercedes won for the second consecutive time the world leadership in the premium segment as a single brand (BMW maintains its leadership as a Group) exploiting in particular the success of its SUV range, GLA and GLC on all.
To meet the increase of global demand in this segment, the German brand now expects to significantly expand its SUV offering, with a focus on the most compact.
This was anticipated by Mercedes sales and marketing manager, Britta Seeger, from the Detroit Motor Show stands.
The compact cars of the German company, including therefore also A-Class, B-Class, CLA and CLA Shooting Brake, currently account for over a third of the total sales with 620 thousand units registered in 2017.
