Mercedes AMG Project One will be produced in UK
The new hypercar Mercedes AMG Project One, the ultimate variant of which has just debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show, will be produced in Great Britain, at the plants where the Stella's brand single car are the protagonists of the F1 World Championship.
In addition, the Project One will exploit the technologies used in competitions, requiring different production processes than those for traditional cars.
The mechanics of the 275 units available of the Supersport model (all already booked) will be built at the Brixworth plant, home of the Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, while the electric part of the hybrid, which will also come from Brixworth, will then be used at the Brackley factory, headquarter of Mercedes AMG Motorsport.
Here, the chassis and other carbon fiber components will be built. The Project One's engine system delivers 732 hp.
