Maranello invaded for the 50th anniversary of the legendary Ferrari Dino
Last Saturday more than 150 Dino and more than 300 customers from all over the world invaded Maranello to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first unit of the legendary Ferrari Dino.
One of the most famous and loved cars of the Prancing Horse at a global level had a rather long gestation.
A prototype of the berlinetta was unveiled for the first time at the Paris Motor Show in October 1965 and the year after it was also shown at the Turin Motor Show, before the official launch that took place in November 1967 at the IAA in Frankfurt.
The 50th anniversary of Dino would therefore have taken place in 2017, but every commemorative event would have ended up being overshadowed by the celebrations for Ferrari's 70th anniversary, hence the decision to celebrate the half-century of another special moment, in fact, the debut on the road of the first Dino, March 1968.
