Malaysian Perodua to celebrate the production of 1 million Myvi
Perodua (Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua), the Malaysian carmaker, main competitor of the leader Proton, celebrates the milestone of 1 million units produced of its bestseller Myvi.
In fact, the millionth car will be assembled in the next few days at a local plant and the model is on the market since 2005.
Myvi was the best-selling car in Malaysia until the end of 2014 and in any case still today it is steadily in the top ten ranking in the emerging Southeast Asian market.
It is exported to seven countries (Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Brunei, Singapore, Great Britain, Fiji and Nepal), while in Indonesia it is exported under the Daihatsu Sirion name.
