In Los Angeles debuts Palisade, Hyundai's new Mid-size SUV
Hyundai unveils its new Palisade Suv as a world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
The Palisade MY2020 is distinguished by three rows of seats andit is built on a brand new frame that allows for an excellent habitability of the second and third row, together with a large luggage van thanks to the flexibility of configuration.
Palisade's style conveys sturdiness and style in a sober theme for US standards, worthy of a flagship in the SUV sector. The imposing waterfall grid dominates the front.
The separate composite headlights and a vertically connected front light signature create a strong and distinctive bearing.
The profile of the extended bonnet creates an impressive road presence, while the highly developed C-pillars and the lateral presence of the rear panoramic glass transmit spaciousness to the third row.
The rear view is emphasized through sinuous details and large vertical LED lights. The 20-inch alloy wheels (optional) further complete the massive road presence of Palisade.
This design also has aerodynamic advantages. The aerodynamic coefficient of 0.33, achieved thanks to specific design indications implemented during development, allows the Palisade, despite the important measures and weight, to offer excellent dynamic characteristics combined with low consumption.
The power of Palisade comes from a 3.8-liter Atkinson V6 direct injection cycle engine that produces about 291 horsepower and makes the new Suv the most powerful in the Hyundai range.
Engine power is transmitted to the wheels via the two-wheel drive or the HTRAC four-wheel drive system combined with the eight-speed automatic transmission with multi-plate torque converter.
Palisade will be produced at Ulsan in Korea and will be available at US dealers from summer 2019.
