Land Rover celebrates 600,000 Evoque built in Halewood
The UK Land Rover plant in Halewood celebrates the production of the 600,000th Range Rover Evoque six years from the start of the assembly operations.
The compact SUV is emerging as one of the most successful models in the history of the glorious off-road brand, and it has already won over 200 awards, including Best Compact SUV in Germany, France, Spain and Brazil.
Currently, at the Halewood plant are produced an Evoque every 170 seconds with exports in approximately 130 international markets, about 80% of the total. The car is also assembled in China and Brazil and the Cabrio variant is always built at Halewood.
To celebrate the 600,000th unit, Land Rover has produced the Evoque Landmark special series, which in the UK market has a starting price of 39,000 pounds and it will be officially unveiled on Wednesday at the Royal Windsor Horse Show.
