Kia signs partnership to produce in Ethiopia
Kia has signed an agreement with local Belayab Motors to start production operations in Ethiopia.
The partnership will exploit the plant already active in the city of Adama and run by Belayab Motors where the Rio and Picanto models are initially assembled.
Shortly there will be also Soul, Sorento, Sportage and Mohave.
The factory employs 270 people and it is considered a flagship of production in Ethiopia, an African market that is trying to find significant spaces among those considered more emerging in the Continent.
