Italdesign presents Vulcanus, a luxury MPV for the Chinese market
Italdesign unveiled Vulcanus, a high-end MPV designed to offer customers an exclusive vehicle while maintaining a low profile combined with an elegant style.
Vulcanus was created in collaboration with Xingchi Automobiles for the local market and it is based on the Mercedes-Benz V260L, on which the team of designers led by Filippo Perini has worked both on the exterior and on the interior.
The Vulcanus lines inherit the values of technology and style typical of the Mercedes V-Class, emphasizing its compact and linear design.
The entrance on board is guaranteed by electric sliding doors on both sides. The two belt lines run along the length of the sides to the rear. The decorative graphics and the chromatic cut of the windows create a dynamic visual effect.
A new triangular LED has been introduced on the front, which joins the chromed front grille with the typical Mercedes logo to the light clusters, extending to the sides of the front panel.
The interior concept is based on two principles: refined materials and high technology to offer passengers a comfortable mobile working environment.
Finishing in wood, leather and high-definition screens drive the interior design that is fully equipped with the latest technology available: identification via fingerprint, partitions, high-definition TV and black-out glass to separate the driver's position from those of the passengers.
All on-board devices are controlled through an intelligent interactive control system, installed in the central armrest between the two business seats.
The seating layout is totally customizable and flexible so you can choose the configuration based on the number of passengers and needs.
