Hyundai expects Indian auto industry to grow by 15% over next two years
Hyundai predicts that the growth rate of the Indian market over the next two years will be around 15% compared to the current 8% trend.
The Korean carmaker aims to exploit the steadily upwards trend and announces that it will launch a new model each year in India starting from the new generation of Verna that will debut in August.
Next year will be the turn of a new hatchback and in 2019 of an unusual B-segment crossover, already renamed Carlino.
Hyundai is still firmly in second place in India (behind Maruti Suzuki) with a total of 253,428 vehicles sold in the first half, up 4.1%, exploiting in particular the success of Creta.
