Geely readies first fuel cell vehicle
Zhejiang Geely Holding Group introduced a fuel cell bus in Beijing last week, marking the beginning of the largest private Chinese automaker’s venture into the fuel cell vehicle market.
The vehicle consumes 7.5 kilograms of hydrogen per 100 kilometers. The bus, fully filled with hydrogen, can drive for an entire day in a city, Geely said, without disclosing further details about the vehicle.
The full cell bus was built by Geely’s commercial vehicle subsidiary in Nanchong of southwest China’s Sichuan province. It will be marketed under the subsidiary’s Yuancheng brand.
Aside from commercial fuel cell vehicles, the company has started developing fuel cell passenger vehicles Geely said.
