Geely to begin production operations in Belarus
Zhejiang Geely Automobile, the Chinese Group owner of Geely and Volvo brands, announced the start of production activities in Belarus with a plant that will have an annual capacity of about 120,000 units, divided into Boyue, Yuanjing and Emgrand models.
The Chinese carmaker is already active in Belarus since 2011 when it signed a joint venture with Belarusian Automobile.
The strengthening of Geely's local activities seemed to be done in 2015, but the project has been postponed to date.
The Chinese Group aims to strengthen its international cooperation with the involvement of a hundred markets.
