Foundation stone laid for the new Porsche Experience Centre
A place to experience the authentic Porsche experience: the seventh Experience Center of the brand in the world is currently under construction within the German Hockenheimring circuit. The foundation stone was laid last Monday, and the inauguration of the center will take place at the end of next year.
Located approximately 100 kilometers from the brand's headquarters in the Zuffenhausen area of Stuttgart, the new Hockenheimring Porsche Experience Center will cover a total area of 160,000 square meters and will offer customers and fans the opportunity to experience the thrill of driving the sports cars of the Brand on demanding road and off-road routes.
In fact, the project includes several tracks and areas for a wide range of driving programs with a 2.7 km track completed by dynamic modules such as water zones, a skid simu-lator and three roundabouts. A 5,200-square-metre off-road park containing 16 separate modules will comprise features typical of tricky off-road terrain, inclines of up to 70 percent, slopes, boulders, ditches, and tree trunks lying at different angles.
The three-storey central building will feature boxes in which new vehicles are handed over to customers, a restaurant, a café, conference rooms and venues for events.
