Fear driving in the dark? Ford: guilt of ancestors
Nyctophobia, or rather afraid of the dark, what many adults experience when driving at night. According to experts this fear derives from our ancestors, since the Prehistoric Era, when they spent their lives inside the caves, exposed to fear of attacks by predators.
According to a Ford study, at the top of the worries related to driving at night there would be a fear of darkness and terror to knock down pedestrians, cyclists or large animals on the trail.
The carmaker recalls that for them it has developed the automatic emergency braking system with pre-collision assistance and pedestrian recognition that makes stop the vehicle automatically if there is not driver reaction to the warning and it also works at night.
