Crossover and expansion in Southeast Asia for the Mitsubishi re-launch
Mitsubishi is passing a delicate phase after Nissan's entry into its capital with a 34% stake. The Japanese carmaker headed by Osamu Masuko is in any case ready to re-launch, exploiting the synergies that will result from the partnership with Renault-Nissan Alliance.
Supporting the anticipated growth of the brand will be primarily the development of new crossovers (Eclipse Cross is a tangible example) and consolidation in China and in the emerging markets in Southeast Asia.
Two factors that will contribute to satisfy the Mitsubishi's goal to increase its global sales volumes from the current 1 million units to more than 1.25 million vehicles per year by March 31, 2020.
