Chery opens a design center in Germany
The Chinese Chery carmaker chose Germany as a bridge for its entry into Europe. The company intends to compete internationally with the major car manufacturers of the world.
"If Chery wants to become a global brand, we have to go to Europe," said Chery President Tongyue Yin, starting from January 2019, the new Chery Europe branch will start its operations in Raunheim, Frankfurt, where the launch of models for the European market will be prepared to be marketed under the Exeed brand starting in 2020.
The center of Raunheim will mainly focus on design, development, marketing and sales. In the initial phase, about 50 employees in research and development will be employed.
