BMW India has commenced assembly of the new MINI Countryman
The Indian division of the BMW Group started production of the MINI Countryman at the Tamil Nade plant near Chennai.
The car of the British carmaker has already been launched in the Asian market last weeks about a year and a half after the official debut of the model.
It is the second generation of the Countryman which was developed on the same platform as the BMW X1 and which was unveiled for India at the New Delhi Auto Expo in February.
Currently, the MINI range in India provides, in addition to Countryman, the Clubman and the latest three doors, five doors and convertible variants.
