BMW and Daimler in joint venture for global mobility
The BMW Group and Daimler aims to open a joint global mobility company in Berlin.
The result of the partnership will be an innovative provider of mobility services able to operate outside the respective group structures to offer customers a single source for sustainable urban mobility services.
After the examination and approval by the competition authorities, the two groups intend to strategically combine and expand their on-demand mobility offer in the areas of CarSharing, Ride-Hailing, Parking, Charging and Multimodality.
The two companies will each hold a 50% stake in the joint venture, but will remain competitors in their respective core businesses.
