Audi to sell 800,000 electric and hybrid cars a year by 2025
Audi has announced the objective of selling 800,000 electrified units annually by 2025, with the launch of over 20 new EV models.
The strategy will be based on the Volkswagen Group's modular MEB platform and on the joint development with the Porsche brand.
The first result of the "green" offensive by Audi is expected in August when the standard e-tron variant of an SUV, the first true electric car of the carmaker, will be introduced.
The 2025 electrification program will involve investments of around 40 billion Euros.
