Alliance (with Mitsubishi) to reach 9,96 million units in 2016
The goal is to get to the World Summit, but in the meantime the Renault-Nissan Alliance (with the contribution of the new Mitsubishi partner, whose 34% share is since last fall managed by Nissan) closes with satisfaction the 2016 during which total new sales rose to 9,961,347 units (also including the 934,013 units for Mitsubishi).
The Renault Group gained 13.3% to 3,182,625 units, while Nissan Group recorded an increase of 2.5% to 5,559,902 vehicles.
If for the general leadership it will take time, the Alliance has confirmed the global leadership in term of EV sales. Thanks largely to Leaf and Zoe, almost 425,000 EV models were delivered.
