An aerial number at the Mercedes-Benz Museum: Indoor skydiving in the tornado
The Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart makes the dream of flying come true.
Thanks to the largest artificially tornado in the world created in the middle of the spectacular architecture of the museum from today, Monday, 1 April 2019 visitors will be able to experience indoor skydiving.
A total of 144 powerful air jets in the walls of the 42-metre-tall atrium are needed to create the tornado which extends up 34 metres. The tornado is at its most powerful close to the floor. And it is precisely this effect that the new indoor skydiving offer exploits.
The hire of the necessary protective clothing (helmet, protectors and overalls) is included in the price of 104 euros per person.
