New milestone for Toyota in Thailand: 10 million vehicles produced
Extraordinary milestone for Toyota in Thailand. The Japanese company is celebrating the milestone of 10 million cars and trucks produced in the factories operating in the provinces of Samut Prakan and Chachoengsao.
A major contribution came mainly from the Samrong plant which has been operating since 1962 with 5.8 million units assembled to date.
Currently, Toyota's production capacity in Thai plants is around 750,000 vehicles a year and the bestsellers are the stainless Corolla and the Hilux pick-up.
